Getting from the airport

Major airports connect to the city by metro or airport express (cheapest), official taxis, DiDi, and sometimes high-speed rail. Use the official taxi rank or DiDi rather than touts who approach you inside the terminal. The metro is fast and cheap but stops running late at night. Save your destination in Chinese to show the driver, and keep some cash or a working mobile-pay app for the fare.
