Giving your address and directions

Always carry your destination written in Chinese and show it rather than trying to pronounce it. Save your hotel name and address in Chinese on your phone, and use Amap or Baidu Maps to share a location pin. Chinese addresses go large to small: city, district, road, building, unit. A screenshot of the Chinese name plus a map pin solves most navigation.
